Searching for a home:
If you are wanting to purchase a condo then the only place to go is PDX Condos For Sale. They have every possible type of condominium search you could ask for. You can literally click on any condo building and see what is available for sale in that building. Here is a good link to all their predefined condo searches.
Pohl Real Estate is the best way to search for available homes in Portland and around Portland's Suburbs. They have all the MLS data and you can
input a price range, square feet, city, and
other features you deem necessary. The search
engine will bring up all homes for sale in the
multiple listing service that meet your
criteria. The public likes this search platform the most because a user can create their own search criteria and save their searches so it e-mails the user whenever a new home has entered their search criteria. The user can also save individual properties that are their favorites and can easily check on their availability anytime. Pohl Real Estate also took the time to precategorize many of their most popular searches.
FSBO
A number of people sell their homes without a
realtor and list them as FSBO. If you want to sell your home by itself but want the advantage of letting other Realtor's show your home you can list your home on the Multiple Listing Service for a flat fee at Pohl Real Estate. You will need to offer the buyer's agent a minimum of 2.5% commission though. Of course the higher the commission the more opportunities for sale and the more marketing you gain which gives you a higher sales price.
Craigs List is another
source to use to shop for homes. It is a free
service where people can put their homes for
sale, or rent.
