East Portland had household incomes reported as less
than the National Average except Pleasant Valley. All
district reported the average home age newer than
Portland's average home age of 1950 but only Wilkes and
Pleasant Valley reported their average home age newer
than the National average of 1974. Six out of 9
districts have home ownership lower than the National
Average. Eleven districts out of fifteen had household incomes less than the National Average with Buckman district considerably lower than the national average. Buckman's median household income came in at $28,619 while the National Average came in at $44,512. More than half the districts show property taxes greater than the National Average and all the districts have an average home age considerably older than the National Average. The percentage of home ownership is considerably lower than the National Average for districts Creston-Kenilworth, Buckman, Brooklyn, and Kerns. |
